Behind The Brand
There is a lot of good you can do with a brand and a platform: you can support and advocate for those who need a voice, and be part of creating movements that matter. At AIDAN, we believe a brand goes beyond sales, it encompasses valuing people and caring for the greater good of the community and environment.
We do not believe in fast fashion, the rise of which has fueled the over consumption and overproduction of clothing and textiles. Instead we believe in products that last. Our suitcases, bags and travel accessories are made to travel the world with you many times over and..last. Our products are timeless and enduring and do not pander to the latest trend setting designs. We want you to treasure our pieces for years to come and look upon them as a memento of your continued commitment to environmentally conscious behaviour.
We support movements that matter and positively impact the environment and people around us. Two causes we have thrown our support behind are Water Aid and WANA (We are New Africa). WaterAid enables some of the world's poorest people access to clean water and sanitary toilets. We believe this is such an important issue to address as 785 million people worldwide live without clean water close to home. Additionally, 2 billion people do not have a decent toilet of their own. This should not be the norm.
On the 18th of March 2022, AIDAN will be donating a range of products to the Water Aid Ball to be auctioned off with all proceeds going to the charity.
WANA is looking to change the world’s perception of Africa by supporting innovation and a host of entrepreneurs across the continent to reach their potential. WANA was started by Ugo Mozie, who launched his fashion label at eighteen and has styled and worked with Celine Dion, Beyonce, Travis Scott and Justin Bieber. Ugo’s story is an inspiration and he wants to make it a reality for African children wanting to make their own mark.
We believe that brands that care about social and environmental welfare are the only brands that should exist. Making a quick buck at the expense of others is not in our ethos. That's why we are proud to have created a brand that is aesthetically timeless and grounded in strong community values.
Overall, AIDAN hopes to change the lives of as many people as possible, through both a strong commitment to style and an ongoing devotion to sustainability and social welfare.
